In fact, in this promotion, we were all hoping not to win the million bob since there was 5 million and 10 million to be won; these were the real winners. Did you hear of the young woman who won a Benz a few years ago? It was valued at I think 5 mill but the poor girl sold it for 3 mill, well, she is broke now, four years down the line. Through this perspective a mill is really not much...
But a borehole costs at least a mill to drill. Ukambani and Nyanza are still in need of many of these. A mill can put windows in several rural school, or buy new desks to furnish at least 5 rural schools, the list is endless. But why am I making loads of noise over a mill? Ati Jimnah Mbaru alone gave 100 mill, a mill for the lunch and the rest to "help" the campaign kitty! One man alone!! They say they collected over 1 Bill!! A billion from a handful of characters in a hotel banquet hall.
Kibaki needs campaign money? For when? His campaign has been going on and he seems to have gone over the country several times. Elections is in 34 days, how does Kibaki's campaign spend 1 billion in 34 days? Maybe I am being simple, I need this explained to me. And even if he could, how does one spend this kind of money in a country such as Kenya with a clean conscious? How does a person living in a country such as this keep 100 mill in the bank? Just a mill can build a school in the rural areas- you know those "structures" that are one block and have no windows or doors?
My next posting, God willing, will be on the arrogance of the elite and why the US and most of Europe eliminated what can be called the "elite ruling class" and replaced it with the bourgeoise.

Hi Norah, 15,000 US cannot buy you land in Australia. Maybe a brand new Hyundai or a second had Mercedes.
So Jimnah Mbaru donated 100 million, how sure are we it isn't NSE money, rumor has it Mbaru and his team run the NSE like a family business manipulating the stock market with impunity.
It is sad, no wonder Dr Watson seems to think our IQ is much lower than other races (not that I agree with his research). If these guys can hold such a harambee just for elections, a one time event as Kibaki normally puts it in his speeches, then there’s something very wrong with our leaders. That’s enough to convince the majority of Kenyans who live below the poverty line not to vote for Kibaki.
Anglo leasing, Mungiki, Standard raid, no constitution as promised, incompetent commissions that have wasted tax payers money i.e. Ringera ‘s commission , surely one of these alone is enough to get a president impeached.

Nora CAD$15K is now US$11K since Cad $ is trading above Us for the first time in a long time...however it cant buy u land or house...Infact it is less than what regular people here pay the gvt for income tax per year becoz canadian taxes a ridiculously high becoz of "free" health care yet its free only within your province, which means if i am in Nai my health needs a my problem well plus that of my insurer or employer....But CA$15K can give u ten trips to kenya from here and back and that to me is priceless! Though CRA will argue that a net income of 15K a year u still way below the poverty line here but hey do I say.....
